FAQ-RMC

Is there a separate membership for the Rocky Mountain Chapter?

No. Once you join SCBWI, you are automatically a member of the Rocky Mountain Chapter. The chapter requests new member lists each time communications are mailed and all new members up to that point will receive mailings.

How many members are in the Rocky Mountain Chapter of SCBWI?

We have about 600 members. Of those, approximately 500 are writers and 100 are illustrators or author-illustrators, with around 400 associate members and 200 full or PAL members. Many of our members are award-winners, both locally and nationally.

I’ve written a book and/or illustrated a book and  need to find a publisher. Can RMC-SCBWI help me?

The chapter and SCBWI have a wealth of resources to help you find what you need. Check out the FAQs on this page for information, read back issues of Kite Tales, and visit the SCBWI main website where members can download informational documents relating to getting their work published. Good luck!

I’m not getting messages on the RMC-SCBWI listserv.

The RMC-SCBWI listserv, serviced by Yahoo, requires approval by the moderator. It’s possible you haven’t been approved yet but we assure you you will be soon!

Another reason could be that no messages have gone out recently. We try to limit messages going out because we know how much e-mail people get everyday!

If several days have passed and you have not yet received any RMC-SCBWI listserv messages, contact the listserv moderator to make sure you are a member of the list.
